Texas Driving Safety Course: Enrollment, Fees and Certificates

Enrollment is coming soon. Driving Logic, Texas Driving Safety Course Provider CP1235, is preparing this course for enrollment. Please wait until enrollment opens before purchasing.

Can I use this course for ticket dismissal?

Obtain permission from the court handling your citation before enrolling. The court decides whether you are eligible, which documents you must submit and your deadline. Taking a course does not by itself dismiss a ticket. Follow the court’s instructions.

What will the course cost?

The planned price is $29: a $25 course fee plus a $4 administrative and materials fee, before any applicable tax or optional extras. These are Driving Logic charges, not state fees. Review the full total before paying.

How long does the course take?

Texas requires a six-hour driving safety course, including at least five hours of instruction. Complete all required instructional time, course sections and assessments. Pausing or returning later does not reduce the required time. The course must be finished by your court’s deadline.

What happens if I do not pass an assessment?

Follow the assessment and retry instructions provided in your course when enrollment opens. Do not assume that payment or completing an intake form means you have passed or completed the course.

How do I receive and use my DS-230 certificate?

A DS-230 completion certificate requires successful completion of the course and its required checks. Texas requires the provider to issue and deliver the certificate within 15 working days after successful completion. We do not promise an instant certificate. Check your legal name and certificate details, and follow your court’s instructions for submitting the certificate and any other required documents.

Texas requires Driving Logic, as the provider, to report completed certificates to TDLR. That reporting is separate from your responsibility to submit documents to the court and does not dismiss your citation.
